About This Area
The Yarmouth Natural Heritage Area is an 85 hectare (210 acre) natural area located along Catfish Creek, 2.5 kilometres east of the historic Village of Sparta, Ontario. This large, relatively isolated natural area has two main trails. The Wetland Trail loops around the Kebbel Wetland to provide excellent views of waterfowl and wetland flora and fauna. The Catfish Creek Loop runs along the creek to provide a breathtaking vista of the Carolinian Life Zone. The YNHA is also a pleasant and productive spot for sport fishing and bird watching.
