The Mill of Kintail is a 154 acre site where you can enjoy day hiking, skiing or snowshoeing on the trails or test your physical abilities at eight different activity locations along the fitness trail.
The Mill of Kintail Conservation Area is also home to The R. Tait McKenzie Memorial Museum and the James Naismith Museum. These two friends were born and raised in Ramsay Township, now Mississippi Mills, and each went on to become internationally recognized for his contribution to sports. James Naismith invented basketball. R. Tait McKenzie was a pioneer in sports physical therapy, and reconstructive surgery, and was also an accomplished sculptor.
